The Cox’s Bazar District Police on Tuesday held a Master Parade, Welfare Meeting, and Crime Review Session as part of its regular efforts to strengthen discipline, professionalism, and service standards.
The programme began at 8:00 am on January 7 at the Cox’s Bazar Police Lines Parade Ground, where Superintendent of Police (SP) A.N.M. Sajedur Rahman inspected the Master Parade of officers and force members and received their salute.
Later, at 10:00 am, a monthly welfare meeting was held at the Drill Shed of the Police Lines. Police members from different units of the Cox’s Bazar District Police placed their various demands, problems and welfare-related proposals before the meeting. Progress on issues raised in previous welfare meetings was also reviewed.
The welfare meeting presented special rewards to police personnel for their notable achievements. Officers involved in the successful recovery of an abduction victim received special recognition from the Inspector General of Police (IGP), while members who achieved significant success in narcotics recovery operations were awarded by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG).
At the concluding stage of the meeting, ATS/147 Md Shafiul Alam, serving with the Cox’s Bazar District Police, was formally bid farewell on the occasion of his retirement. Superintendent of Police A.N.M. Sajedur Rahman presented him with a commemorative crest in recognition of his service.
The events reflected the district police’s continued focus on operational discipline, personnel welfare, and effective crime control.
