At the Surfing Tigers Life Saving Club in North Sonar Para’s Jhauban village, around 25 surfers are actively training. Despite the heat, several young female members continue their surfing practice in the waves. Surfer Sharmin said that bigger waves make surfing more enjoyable, but they also require great effort and skill. She added that surfing is not as easy as it looks. The ongoing practice is in preparation for an April surfing competition at Kolatoli Sea Beach in Cox’s Bazar.
