An Advanced ICT and project management training programme for primary school head teachers has begun under the slogan “Ensuring quality primary education is our goal”.
The five-day training programme was inaugurated on Sunday morning at the Leadership Training Centre in Rumaliarchhara area of Cox’s Bazar town.
The training, organised for head teachers and assistant teachers in various primary schools, was formally inaugurated by State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj.
Speaking at the event, the state minister said that primary education forms the foundation of students’ learning and that head teachers play a crucial role in strengthening it.
He stressed that head teachers must first prepare and equip themselves with the necessary skills and competencies.
He also said the government is working to improve teachers’ capacity, enhance educational institutions, and ensure overall quality in the education system.
The inauguration ceremony was chaired by Md Kamrul Hasan, Director of the Training Division of the Directorate of Primary Education.
Director General Shahina Ferdousi, of the Directorate of Primary Education, attended the program as a special guest.
Officials said the training aims to strengthen ICT-based teaching capacity and improve school management skills among primary school educators.
