The “Youth Connect: Building Agency of Youth in Climate Action” project completed the first youth leadership and climate awareness training phase in Cox’s Bazar.

The Youth Alliance for Sustainable International Development (YASID), with support from IPSA and funding from the British Council, organized the training session, which saw 25 young individuals participate.

Azim Nihad, Channel 24’s Cox’s Bazar correspondent and general secretary of the Crime Reporters’ Association of Cox’s Bazar (CRAC), served as the resource person.

He highlighted the urgent environmental impacts of climate change and discussed how weather patterns and climate shifts affect developing countries. His session provided practical insights into combating ecological challenges at the local and national levels.

The training highlighted the community-based action plans, awareness campaigns, and future expansion.

The initiative aims to build a generation of climate-conscious youth ready to take action against environmental challenges through education, awareness, and community engagement.
