A three-day workshop titled ‘Weather, Climate Change, and Public Interest Journalism’ has commenced, with participation from 22 journalists from various upazilas of Cox’s Bazar, including a representative from Cox’s Bazar Life.
The workshop began on Sunday (January 12) in a hotel conference room in Cox’s Bazar. BBC Media Action, under the BRIDGES (Building Climate Resilience through Strengthened Communication Across the WCIS System) project, is conducting the event.
BBC Media Action highlighted that the workshop aims to provide in-depth knowledge about climate and weather reporting.
Journalists will learn how to better understand and communicate the impacts of climate change and weather-related challenges.
Moreover, the training focuses on equipping journalists with the tools and techniques to report effectively, helping vulnerable communities take proactive measures against adverse climate effects.
