The 11th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), which began on December 30, has now reached its Chattogram phase. Following successful matches in Dhaka and Sylhet, the tournament moves to the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, where games will commence today, Thursday, January 16.

The day’s first match, starting at 1:30 PM, features Dhaka Capitals against Fortune Barishal. Later, at 6:30 PM, the home team, Chattogram Kings will face Khulna Tigers, promising an exciting contest under the floodlights.

The Chattogram phase is crucial for all participating teams as they vie for a spot in the qualifier round. Except for Rangpur Riders, the remaining six teams are in a tight race, with each match carrying significant importance.

Chattogram Kings, in particular, will capitalize on the home crowd’s support to boost their chances. A win against Khulna Tigers could bring them closer to securing a qualifying spot.

From January 16 to 23, Chattogram will host 12 matches. This phase offers an opportunity for teams that have underperformed to regain momentum. After the Chattogram phase, the league will return to Dhaka for the final stretch.

Starting January 26, Dhaka will host the remaining group-stage matches, the Eliminator, the Qualifiers, and the grand finale on February 7, which will conclude this season of the BPL.

With the Chattogram phase promising intense battles, cricket enthusiasts eagerly await to see which teams rise to the occasion. Who will have the last laugh this season? Only time will tell.
