The Cox’s Bazar district administration organized an iftar and prayer gathering on Sunday at the BIAM Foundation auditorium. Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin, people from various walks of life came together for the event.
The event aimed to reinforce religious values, unity, and solidarity among different sections of society. Discussions focused on fostering brotherhood and compassion through the observance of Ramadan.
Before the iftar, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin delivered a welcome speech, expressing gratitude to all attendees. He highlighted the sanctity of Ramadan as a month of mercy, forgiveness, and salvation and urged everyone to uphold its spiritual essence.
“Let us pray for one another so that we may once again be blessed with the holy month of Ramadan,” he said, concluding with advance Eid greetings for all.
A special prayer session was held for the nation’s and its people’s welfare.
Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner Md. Mizanur Rahman, former Member of Parliament Lutfur Rahman Kajal, BNP district president Shahjahan Chowdhury, representatives from the Navy, Army, law enforcement agencies, government and non-government offices, political leaders, and student representatives attended the event.
