With a commitment to spreading the light of education, Cox’s Bazar City College embarked on its journey in 1993 by placing a signboard at Baharchhara Primary School in Cox’s Bazar town. This historic moment remains integral to the region’s educational and cultural history.
Several distinguished individuals were crucial in establishing the college, including its founding principal, Momtazul Haque, donor member Advocate Faridul Alam, and Professor Ajit Das. Additionally, respected elders of Baharchhara—Moulvi Sultan Ahmed, Abdul Aziz, and legal assistant Shamsul Huda—made invaluable contributions. Their relentless efforts laid the foundation for what is now a beacon of education in Cox’s Bazar.
The people of Cox’s Bazar express deep gratitude and respect to those who contributed to this noble initiative. The rare historical photograph of the college’s establishment serves as a testament to this remarkable journey, inspiring future generations and reinforcing the importance of education.
