As the final hours before Eid approach, shopping centers across Cox’s Bazar are witnessing an overwhelming rush of shoppers. Vendors are experiencing one of their busiest nights of the year, striving to meet the last-minute shopping frenzy.
One shopkeeper shared, “Since tomorrow is Eid, the number of customers has significantly increased. We will wrap up sales late at night and head home by dawn.”
The surge of people has also led to increased traffic congestion, with traffic police actively working to manage the situation. To ensure a safe shopping experience, the Cox’s Bazar district police have implemented extensive security measures. Additional patrols and security checkpoints have been set up at key locations to control the crowd and prevent untoward incidents.
A visit to the bustling Eid market revealed large crowds at major shopping hubs, including Boro Bazar, Fazal Market, Ali Market, Feroza Shopping Mall, New Market, Super Market, Paurashava Super Market, Eden Garden, and Apon Tower, as well as the numerous street vendors lining the roads.
