Dulahazara Safari Park has emerged as one of the most attractive destinations for tourists, offering a remarkable combination of natural beauty and wildlife.

Located in the Dulahazara area under the Chakaria upazila in Cox’s Bazar district, the park spans approximately 900 hectares.

Unlike traditional zoos, animals here roam freely in a natural environment.

Visitors can see a wide range of wildlife, including deer, spotted deer, tigers, lions, bears, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various species of monkeys and birds.

One of the main attractions is the safari bus ride, which allows visitors to enter designated zones and observe wildlife up close—an experience both thrilling and educational.

The park is divided into different zones, such as herbivore, carnivore, and bird aviary sections.

Each zone is designed to replicate the animals’ natural habitat, ensuring a more authentic and humane environment for wildlife.

In addition to wildlife, the park features lakes, waterfalls, lush greenery, and rest areas, making it an ideal spot for families and nature lovers.

According to acting officer Monjurul Alam, the park was established to conserve and breed endangered species.

He said that visitor interest is steadily increasing, and authorities are working to ensure both wildlife protection and a safe, enjoyable experience for tourists.

Security measures, trained guides, and a dedicated veterinary team are in place to ensure both visitor safety and proper animal care.

The park also plays a significant role in promoting environmental education and awareness.

Stakeholders said that Dulahazara Safari Park stands as a strong example of how conservation, education, and tourism can come together to create a meaningful travel experience.
