The Cox’s Bazar Electronic Media Camera Journalists Association (CEMJA) successfully completed its 14th annual reunion and pleasure trip.
The two-day programme, held on 15 and 16 February, saw members travel to Bandarban and Rangamati.
During the tour, members visited several scenic and tourist attractions, including Meghla in Bandarban, Kaptai Lake, the Tourist Hanging Bridge in Rangamati, and Shuvolong. They enjoyed the natural beauty of the hills and participated in a discussion meeting.
On the way to Shuvolong, CEMJA held a discussion session to mark its 14th founding anniversary.
The chief guest speaker was the organisation’s chief adviser, Rotab Chowdhury.
At the beginning of his speech, he commended CEMJA members for carrying out their professional duties responsibly during the 13th National Parliamentary Election and referendum held on 12 February.
He noted that such trips help strengthen friendships, relieve fatigue through recreation, and provide an opportunity to step away from professional pressures for a while.
CEMJA President Nurul Alam, the Channel I cameraperson, presided over the meeting. Among those who spoke were General Secretary Rajib Kanti Dey Babua, cameraperson for DBC News, and Treasurer Md. Mamun.
Speakers described the tour as enjoyable and educational for members and expressed plans to organise similar programmes on a larger scale in the future, possibly including family members.
After the tour, CEMJA members returned to Cox’s Bazar via Chattogram, reaffirming their commitment to carry out their professional responsibilities with renewed enthusiasm and dedication.
