Just a short drive from Cox’s Bazar town, amid vast greenery and the open blue sky, lies Chaufaldandi — once a quiet coastal village, now transforming into a symbol of beauty, progress, and promise. 

This serene riverside settlement is home to Bangladesh’s largest wind power project, reshaping both the landscape and the lives of its people.

Towering wind turbines now dominate the horizon, their graceful blades spinning endlessly with the rhythm of the coastal breeze. 

These giant structures have become Chaufaldandi’s new identity — a striking example of harmony between nature and technology. 

Tourists from Cox’s Bazar and beyond now flock here daily to witness this mesmerizing dance of the wind.

Well-paved, clean roads have added to the area’s charm, while the salty scent of the air and the sight of endless salt fields along the riverbanks paint a stunning portrait of coastal life. 

Together, they have turned Chaufaldandi into one of the region’s most captivating emerging tourist spots.

Local resident Nurur Rahim recalls, “Once, this was just salty land and water. Now, we have new jobs and opportunities. The wind power project has brought not just electricity — but also the wind of development.”

Standing by the river, watching the turbines turn against the vast sky, feels like gazing upon a living work of ar  a blend of innovation, sustainability, and naturalbeautye.
