For the first time, Cox’s Bazar observed the National Cleanliness Drive on Wednesday, September 17, to mark International Housekeeping Week.

The Cox’s Bazar Hotel Employees’ Union organized the event with the theme “Say No to Plastic and Polythene – Keep the Beach Clean.”

The colorful rally began at Laboni Point at 5 p.m. and concluded in front of Sea Princess Hotel at Sugandha Point.

Among those present were Anisul Islam, Sub-Inspector of Tourist Police (Cox’s Bazar District Region), Maruf Billah Javed, Chairman of Skus Technical Training Centre ( STTC), Awlad Hossain, President of the Cox’s Bazar Hotel-Motel Guest House Officers’ Association, General Secretary Kolim Ullah, and Mohammad Murtaza, Operations Manager of SureStay by Best Western Hotel, along with officials from various hotels and union leaders.

Speakers stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness in an international tourist city like Cox’s Bazar.
