Raiyan Saad Al Haque, a son of Dhaka University’s Arabic Department Chairman, Dr Jubair Muhammad Ehsanul Haque, has made history by becoming the first student from Cox’s Bazar to secure the top position in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program admission test at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Dhaka University, for the academic year 2024-25.

Recently, IBA’s official website published the final results.

According to the results, Raiyan excelled in all components of the two-phase exam. In the first phase, he scored 21 out of 30 in English, 10.5 out of 25 in Mathematics, and a perfect 15 out of 15 in Analytical Skills. In the written descriptive test, he scored 15 out of 30. 

During the second phase, which focused on communication skills, Rayyan scored an impressive 17.5 out of 20, bringing his total to 79 out of 120 and securing the top position.

Raiyan completed his Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) from Notre Dame College, Dhaka. Although his academic journey began in the capital, his ancestral home is in Cox’s Bazar.

This year’s IBA admission test saw fierce competition, with 10,278 candidates vying for 120 seats.
