The winter chill has gradually begun to grip Cox’s Bazar. While the days remain bright and sunny, the early mornings and late nights are growing noticeably colder with cool breezes sweeping in from the Bay of Bengal.
As dusk falls, a thin layer of fog begins to settle over the coastline — especially along Khurushkul Road and other seaside areas — signalling the quiet arrival of winter. With the changing weather, the demand for warm clothing is also on the rise.
According to the Cox’s Bazar Meteorological Office, if the current temperature trend continues, the district is expected to feel the full onset of winter by the second week of December, with night temperatures dropping further. Foggy conditions are also likely to persist through the morning hours in coastal regions.
Local tea stalls are now seeing a growing crowd of residents starting their day with a warm cup of tea and breakfast. Tourists strolling along the beach are also enjoying the pleasant touch of winter in the sea breeze.
This refreshing shift in the weather has brought seasonal joy, while many are gearing up for the colder days ahead.
