Along the shore of Pechar Dwip, local fishermen and boatmen are busy repairing fishing nets. Stitching torn nets, Fisherman Amin explains that lobster catching in rocky areas beneath the sea often damages nets. “When we get spare time, we repair these nets and make them ready again,” he explains. Amin also shares that he owns various nets—from those used to catch hilsa to specialized nets for coral fish and silver pomfret.
