Four members of the Rover Scout Group from Feni Polytechnic Institute have completed a 150-kilometer trek as part of their journey to achieve scouting’s highest honor—the President’s Rover Scout Award (PRS).
The five-day expedition tested their physical endurance, leadership, and spirit of service. Setting off from Feni Polytechnic Institute on August 11, the team walked through Chattogram College before reaching Cox’s Bazar Upazila Parishad on August 16. Along the way, they visited educational institutions, landmarks, and government and non-government offices, while also engaging with local communities to raise awareness about social causes.
“The purpose of this trek was not only to enhance leadership, physical fitness, and team spirit but also to highlight the positive role of scouting in society,” said rover member Yasin Arafat.
The “Expedition Badge” is a mandatory step in securing the PRS Award. Candidates must complete either a 150-kilometer journey on foot, a 500-kilometer trip by bicycle, or a 250-kilometer journey by boat.
The four rovers departed Cox’s Bazar today, August 19, marking the successful completion of their expedition.
