Following a devastating fire at a gas pump on the Kolatoli Bypass Road in Cox’s Bazar, the upazila administration has extended support to the affected families. Government assistance has been provided to help them recover from the disaster.

This morning, relief allocated by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief was handed over to the victims by local Member of Parliament Lutfur Rahman Kajol.

District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Mohammad Azad Rahman stated that three families directly affected by the fire each received Tk 6,000 in cash, two bundles of corrugated tin sheets, along with food and essential supplies. In addition, eight injured families were provided with Tk 15,000 each as financial assistance.

The Sadar Upazila Executive Officer, Upazila Engineer, Upazila Agriculture Officer, and other relevant officials were present during the distribution. Local residents expressed hope that this support would help the affected families overcome their difficult circumstances.
