The Cox’s Bazar Meteorological Office has signaled the possibility of storms and rain on Tuesday, with forecasts indicating heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next 72 hours (3 days) starting from 10 AM Wednesday.
These details were shared on Monday evening (May 26) by Abdul Hannan, Assistant Meteorologist at the Cox’s Bazar Weather Department.
Abdul Hannan stated that within the next 24 hours, some areas of Cox’s Bazar may experience temporary gusty winds accompanied by lightning and light to moderate rainfall, with chances of heavy showers in certain places.
Additionally, a low-pressure system is expected to form in the Bay of Bengal tomorrow, which could bring widespread rainfall across the country. A warning signal will be issued accordingly.
Meanwhile, on Monday (May 26), Bangladesh Meteorological Department meteorologist Shahanaz Sultana forecasted the formation of a low-pressure system in the northern Bay of Bengal and its adjacent areas on Tuesday (May 27).
