The road stretching from Dulahazara to Chakaria in Cox’s Bazar is currently offering a striking display of natural beauty, with rows of trees and dense greenery lining both sides of the route.
The verdant landscape has turned the road into a natural green corridor, attracting the attention of travellers, tourists and local residents alike. The beauty of the area has become even more pronounced during the monsoon season, as rain-washed trees and vegetation appear fresher and more vibrant.
Regular commuters and visitors say the Dulahazara-Chakaria road has emerged as one of the most scenic routes in the district. Despite carrying hundreds of vehicles and passengers every day, the lush surroundings provide a sense of calm and relief from travel fatigue.
Abdul Kader, a resident of Chakaria, said that he uses the road daily and finds the view of the trees refreshing.
“It feels as though we are travelling through nature.” The scenery becomes particularly beautiful after rainfall,’ he said.
Saiful Islam, a tourist travelling from Cox’s Bazar town to Chakaria, said the route resembled a road passing through a tourist destination.
‘The greenery on both sides creates a peaceful atmosphere and makes the journey enjoyable,’ he said.
Local businessman Mohammad Yunus said the trees enhance the area’s beauty and play an important role in maintaining environmental balance.
‘These trees should be preserved for future generations,’ he said.
Nature enthusiasts describe the Dulahazara-Chakaria road as one of the most picturesque natural routes in Cox’s Bazar and emphasise the importance of protecting its green environment.
Locals believe that preserving the roadside trees alongside ongoing development efforts will help maintain the area’s natural charm in the years to come.
The tree-lined road has become more than just a transport route; it has evolved into a unique attraction for nature lovers and visitors travelling through the district.
