Moheshkhali’s Matiur Rahman Munna’s football talent was evident early on. As a primary school student, he shone in a local tournament, catching the attention of local footballer Saidi, who became his mentor and started nurturing his skills.

Munna participated in a BKSP (Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan) trial in Cox’s Bazar’s seventh grade and received training in camps in Khulna and Sylhet.

Later, he joined Cox’s Bazar Technical College, where prominent footballer Masud guided him to play across sub-districts, building a solid reputation.

In the Cox’s Bazar League, he won consecutive championships with Sheikh Jamal and All-Star Club in Chakaria. He then joined the Cox’s Bazar district team, securing divisional titles and playing for notable Chattogram teams.

Munna’s breakthrough came with Cox City, where he debuted in the 2010-2011 Second B League and led his team to the championship.

Later, he joined Dhaka Wanderers, scoring eight goals in the 2013-2014 season, and then played for Arambagh Krira Sangha and Agrani Bank SC, eventually becoming a reliable midfielder for Muktijoddha Sangsad KC in the Bangladesh Premier League.

Alongside football, Munna continues his social science studies at Green University and eagerly awaits a call to the national team.
