Under the slogan “Marching in July to Build the Nation,” central leaders of the National Citizens’ Party (NCP) are set to visit Cox’s Bazar on July 19 as part of the party’s nationwide July March.
The delegation will include NCP Convenor Nahid Islam, Hasnat Abdullah, Sarjis Alam, Tasnim Zara, and other central committee members.
Ahead of their visit, extensive promotional activities have begun in various parts of the district. On Monday, July 7, NCP, Democratic Student Council, and National Youth Power activists were seen distributing leaflets in Samiti Para and Kutubdia Para of Cox’s Bazar municipality, as well as in Ukhiya.
Suj Uddin, NCP’s Central Joint Member Secretary, stated, “The primary aim of this march is to bring the demands for justice, reform, and a new constitution directly to the people. We want to listen to the courageous students and citizens who sparked a wave of change during the July uprising.”
Asif Bappi, a central leader of National Youth Power, added, “NCP wants to learn what kind of Bangladesh the people envision, their thoughts on new-wave politics, and what they expect from young politicians.”
Khalid Bin Saeed, a local organizer, emphasized, “This march is not about delivering speeches, but about listening to the people—particularly the youth, the marginalized, the deprived, and the hopeful—so we can understand their real stories of life, dreams, and struggles.”
