Parvez Khan Sufiyan, 28, hails from the serene town of Baiddghona in Cox’s Bazar. His journey as a singer began at age six when he started performing on stage to support his family. Today, Parvez is the sole breadwinner of his household, captivating audiences both in Bangladesh and abroad with his soulful performances.
Parvez has won the hearts of listeners from all walks of life with his powerful renditions of Hindi Sufi and Bengali folk songs. His fame extends beyond borders, with Indian audiences enchanted by his Hindi songs. Parvez has performed in all 64 districts of Bangladesh, and his music has gone viral across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, garnering millions of listeners.
Parvez made it to the first round of the famous Indian reality show Zee TV Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Despite his scheduled participation in January, unforeseen circumstances prevented him from participating. Back home, he frequently appears in musical shows on Bangladeshi television channels, further solidifying his reputation.
Speaking to Cox’s Bazar Life, Parvez shared his deep connection to his hometown.
“Nowhere brings me peace like Cox’s Bazar. Even after travelling all over the country for performances, I always find solace here,” he said.
Parvez also expressed his admiration for the growing interest in music among the younger generation.
“In the past, kids were more inclined toward sports. Now, alongside sports, they’re picking up guitars and learning music. It’s something I truly love to see.”
