Despite unpredictable weather, young tourists and local residents are enjoying football at different points along Cox’s Bazar sea beach. Heavy rain often gives way to light showers and brief breaks, but that has hardly stopped the players from enjoying the game. Many young tourists bring a football with them when travelling to Cox’s Bazar, turning their beach trip into a mix of sightseeing and recreation. Local youths said that young people from the Kolatoli area regularly play football on the beach. They can play football here almost year-round because this part of the beach usually does not get too crowded. However, on Fridays and Saturdays, when more tourists arrive, they avoid playing. Sometimes, though, tourists and local youths enjoy the beach alongside each other.
