Exploring Cox’s Bazar during the monsoon can be a unique and refreshing experience—but it also requires caution. Before entering the sea, tourists should always check the tidal conditions.
Green flags on the beach signal that the tide is safe for swimming. In contrast, red flags indicate low tide and rough conditions—entering the water during this time is strictly prohibited.
If you see two red flags placed side by side or in a crisscross pattern, avoid that zone entirely, as it marks the presence of quicksand or hidden channels, which pose serious risks.
Even if you’re a good swimmer, wearing a life jacket or using a floating tube while entering the sea is strongly recommended. Opt for lightweight clothing or trousers for added safety and comfort.
Lastly, tourists are urged to keep the beach clean by avoiding littering and disposing of waste responsibly.
Respecting the sea and its surroundings ensures a safer and more enjoyable experience for everyone.
