Located just three minutes from the heart of Cox’s Bazar, the newly constructed Bakkhali Bridge sees hundreds of vehicles crossing it daily.

This bridge has not only connected the two riverbanks but has also given a fresh boost to the economy of Khurushkul.

Experts believe the bridge and the natural beauty surrounding the Bakkhali River have created a new tourism zone in Cox’s Bazar.

Analysts suggest the bridge is vital in promoting tourism and linking Khurushkul’s housing project. Every day, tourists and visitors flock to enjoy the natural beauty of the Bakkhali River from this bridge.

According to the LGED, the 595-meter-long bridge, built at a cost of TK259 crore, features three 65-meter-deep spans and ten 50-meter-deep spans.

It is the first expensive and modern bridge over the Bakkhali River in Cox’s Bazar district.
