Cox’s Bazar is witnessing a massive tourist influx as thousands flock to the beach city during the extended public holidays.

The country’s most popular tourist destination—especially the Laboni, Sugandha, and Kalatoli points—has turned vibrant with crowds of holidaymakers.

On Friday (October 3), as the sun set over the horizon, every stretch of the beach appeared packed with tourists, leaving hardly any space.

Throughout the day, thousands spent time along the beach, enjoying the sea waves and the natural beauty.

Alongside visitors from distant districts, many local residents also joined in the festive atmosphere.

Tourists Hriday Chakraborty, Sahal Hossain, and Maya Chowdhury said they came to Cox’s Bazar with their families to make the most of the long vacation.

They expressed satisfaction with the environment and security arrangements, adding that they felt content and safe spending time with their loved ones.

Abul Kashem Sikder, president of the Hotel-Motel and Guest House Owners’ Association, said, “Currently, there isn’t a single vacant room in Cox’s Bazar. We urge tourists to plan their trips in advance and make bookings ahead of arrival.”

The district administration’s tourism cell, tourist police, and lifeguard teams are diligently working around the clock to ensure the safety of visitors.

Additional DIG of Tourist Police Apel Mahmud said, “We are on duty 24 hours a day to ensure the safety of all tourists. Strict monitoring is in place so that no one faces any harassment.”
