Thousands of visitors have once again flocked to Cox’s Bazar, the country’s most popular seaside destination, to make the most of the weekend and special holidays. Massive crowds gathered at Laboni, Sugandha, and Kolatoli beach points from early Saturday (October 10).

Many tourists soaked in the salty waves, while others enjoyed horse rides or beach bike adventures along the sandy shore. For many, the trip to Cox’s Bazar offered a much-needed escape from the monotony of busy urban life. Some took on the roaring waves with jet skis, while others captured joyful memories with loved ones against the scenic backdrop of the sea.

Osman Gani, supervisor of Sea Safe Lifeguards, said, “Over 50,000 tourists are visiting the main three beach points every day. We have strengthened surveillance to ensure the safety of swimmers.”

Tourists explored Dariyanagar, Himchhari, Inani, Patuartek, and Teknaf beaches along the Marine Drive road. Belal Hossain, the supervisor of beach staff, observed that the number of visitors has also increased in these spots.

To ensure tourists’ safety, additional Tourist Police have been deployed across the coastal area, confirmed Additional DIG of Tourist Police (Cox’s Bazar Region), Apel Mahmud. “With the rise in tourist numbers, we’ve heightened our alert level,” he said. “Any reports of harassment or unwanted incidents are being addressed immediately.”

With the influx of vacationers choosing Cox’s Bazar for their holiday getaway, the world’s longest natural sea beach has once again come alive with vibrant activity and festive energy.
