Despite unfavorable weather conditions caused by an active monsoon, Cox’s Bazar sea beach has turned into a festive gathering spot for tourists.

Continuous cloud formation over the northern Bay of Bengal has been bringing heavy showers and gusty winds along the coastal areas, leaving the sea rough and turbulent. Giant waves have been crashing against the shore, yet tourists continue to throng the world’s longest sandy beach, enjoying the thrill of the mighty sea.

Visitors were seen reveling in the waves with their families and loved ones, turning the stormy seashore into a place of excitement and cheer. Traditionally, the beach becomes more turbulent during the Bengali months of Jaishtha, Asharh, and Bhadra. While the rough sea poses risks, the towering waves also enchant travelers.

One tourist remarked, “Watching the roaring waves of the sea leaves us amazed every time.”

Meanwhile, Md. Abdul Hannan, Assistant Meteorologist at the Cox’s Bazar Weather Office, said that cautionary signal No. 3 remains in force at the sea ports.
