Cox’s Bazar, the country’s most popular tourist destination, saw many tourists on Friday’s weekly holiday.
From early morning, travelers across Bangladesh crowded the Laboni, Sugandha, Kolatoli, and Inani points of the beach.
Nature added its own charm to the day’s atmosphere. At times, the sky turned bright blue with gleaming sunshine over rolling waves, and suddenly, rain showers swept across the shore.
The sudden shifts in weather doubled the joy of tourists—some danced in the rain while playing with the waves, while others preferred to sit under umbrellas, soaking in the breathtaking sea views.
The heavy tourist turnout also kept local businesses bustling. Hotels, motels, restaurants, and vendors selling Cox’s Bazar’s traditional foods enjoyed a busy and profitable day.
One Dhaka tourist who came with his family said, “The beauty of Cox’s Bazar always captivates me, but today felt different. The beach under dazzling sunshine, followed by sudden rain over the sea—it’s truly a unique experience.”
Meanwhile, tourist police remained vigilant to ensure safety and discipline along the beach, while lifeguards continuously guided visitors to safe swimming.
