The ongoing tree fair and plantation campaign in Cox’s Bazar has been extended by three days in response to increasing public interest and enthusiasm for environmental conservation and greening.

Md. Nurul Islam, Divisional Forest Officer of the South Forest Division, said the fair, which began on July 21, will now continue until July 30. The decision was made due to overwhelming visitor turnout and demand.

Open to all from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, the fair features over 20 stalls offering a wide variety of saplings and seeds, including fruit-bearing, medicinal, and forest trees.

According to organizers, visitors are able to purchase high-quality saplings at affordable prices. The fair also offers educational resources and awareness-raising initiatives that encourage environmentally responsible behavior and eco-friendly living.

Organizers hope this initiative will inspire greater awareness and participation in tree planting—not only in Cox’s Bazar but across the country—contributing to broader efforts to preserve the environment and promote greenery.
