Demand for watermelons has increased during Ramadan, even though the peak season has not yet begun. As a result, prices remain relatively high. A watermelon weighing around five kilograms is selling for Tk 500 to Tk 600, while even a smaller one weighing about one kilogram costs around Tk 150. A visit to Courtbazar and Sonar Para markets revealed similar pricing trends, with strong demand driving the market.
