In the coastal town of Cox’s Bazar, the age-old practice of producing lime (chun) from seashells continues to thrive. Rabbi (30), a local artisan, earns his livelihood by making and selling this traditional lime—commonly used in betel leaf (paan) consumption. He sells the lime for Tk40-Tk50 per kilogram.
