A weeklong art exhibition titled “Antojog” has opened in Cox’s Bazar, showcasing 19 distinctive artworks that reflect connection, community, and creative exchange. The exhibition was inaugurated on Saturday (June 14) at the Artspace Bangladesh office, located opposite the Civil Surgeon’s residence in Baharchhara, Cox’s Bazar town. The event is jointly organized by Artspace Bangladesh, Terracotta Creatives, and Chhoto Studio.

Renowned art and culture patron Shahid Ullah attended the opening ceremony as chief guest.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors daily from 4 PM to 8 PM until June 21.

According to Shayla Siraj, Director of Artspace Bangladesh, the featured works were created during a unique art camp held on June 8 in Shamlapur village, Teknaf, under the theme “Artspacing in Shamlapur.” The camp brought together artists and art lovers from across the country, who conducted interactive sessions with local children and adolescents.

Many participants experienced visual arts for the first time, sparking their imagination and unlocking new creative possibilities, the initiative aimed to foster dialogue, empathy, and exchange, building bridges between art and community.

The exhibition also features musical performances, further enriching the immersive cultural experience. From day one, the venue has been buzzing with enthusiastic visitors who expressed their delight and appreciation for the displayed artworks.

More than just a traditional art showcase, “Antojog” serves as a platform for social dialogue, connecting artists, audiences, and the local community in a shared journey of expression, empathy, and meaningful engagement.
