The sky over Cox’s Bazar has remained overcast for the past few days, accompanied by intermittent light rain.

A similar pattern continued from this morning, with clouds covering the sky and occasional drizzle affecting the town and surrounding areas.

While the weather has brought some relief, it has also caused minor disruptions to daily activities, such as transportation delays and reduced outdoor activities for residents and tourists.

The Cox’s Bazar Meteorological Office said that, along with normal rainfall in April, there is a possibility of comparatively higher precipitation in the second week of the month.

Assistant Meteorologist Abdul Hannan shared this information in a recent press release.

He noted that a low-pressure system may develop over the Bay of Bengal in the last week of April. If conditions remain favorable, it could become a cyclone.

However, he confirmed that there is no risk of a cyclone during the first three weeks of the month.

He also said that although the intensity of seasonal storms is expected to remain moderate this month, the appearance of dark clouds could increase the risk of lightning.

Authorities have advised people working in open fields to remain cautious during such conditions.

Locals said that while the sudden rain and cloudy weather have slightly reduced temperatures, they are also affecting agricultural work and routine activities.

Authorities have advised everyone to take necessary precautions considering the evolving weather conditions.
