The fuel price hike is affecting transport and tourism in Cox’s Bazar. Diesel now costs Tk135 per litre, up from Tk115, while petrol and octane are priced at Tk160 and Tk165, respectively. Filling stations reported fewer customers and less traffic. Bus driver Mostafa Kamal said fares had not increased despite higher fuel costs. Tourists also expressed concern over the additional burden on their travel budgets.
