The Bangladesh Coast Guard has provided free medical services and distributed essential medicines to the underprivileged people of Saint Martin’s Island. The medical camp occurred on Wednesday, October 16, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Lieutenant Commander Khandaker Munif Taqi, Media Officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters, said that 135 disadvantaged individuals, including children, received medical care at the camp.
Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Naeem Hasan led the initiative, and the Coast Guard ship Tajuddin carried it out.
The Coast Guard also stated that it regularly offers medical and humanitarian assistance to underprivileged communities in coastal and island areas.
This initiative is part of their ongoing efforts to support the welfare of vulnerable populations.
The Bangladesh Coast Guard reaffirmed their commitment to continue providing healthcare services to those in need in coastal regions.
