Amid the serene beauty of Cox’s Bazar’s sandy shores and the rhythmic murmur of ocean waves, a compassionate soul tirelessly works beyond the bounds of his journalistic duties. His name is Omar Faruq Hero. A journalist by profession, he is a beacon of hope for the street children of Cox’s Bazar.

Whenever he visits Laboni Point, Sugandha Point, or other parts of the city, the street children rush toward him joyfully. To them, he is a mighty banyan tree, offering shade, love, and cherished moments of comfort.

Omar Faruq plays football with these children at dawn, sharing laughter, stories, and dreams.

The bonds formed in these early hours are filled with hope and trust. His compassion goes beyond play; he ensures they have food, clothing, and essential support. He is their guardian and friend.

The sight of Omar Faruq brings instant joy to the children’s faces. He becomes a guiding light in a world where they often feel neglected, filling their lives with hope and purpose.

Through his kindness, they realize that love and empathy still exist. He wipes away the clouds of hardship, allowing rays of happiness to shine.
