A badminton tournament in Cox’s Bazar has begun in honor of July uprising martyr Wasim Akram from Pekua. The Arafat Rahman Koko Sports Club organized the tournament and officially inaugurated it with a heartfelt tribute to his legacy.
Wasim Akram, the second martyr of the July-August uprising, made the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of democracy and the rights of the people. His legacy remains a shining example for Cox’s Bazar and the entire nation.
During the event, the organizers declared, “We will never forget the sacrifice of Wasim Akram.” Through this tournament, we aim to instill his memory in the hearts of younger generations. Courageous leaders like him remain immortal for their dedication to democracy and human rights.”
More than just a sporting event, the tournament brings together teams from different upazilas to remember and inspire.
The people of this country will remember the July-August uprising and the martyrs who gave their lives for its cause for generations to come. This tournament is a token of respect and an enduring tribute to their sacrifices.
