Cox’s Bazar’s shores will once again become a global stage as the Burning Crab Festival 2026 returns to Mermaid Beach Resort from January 29 to 31, 2026.

Following a successful inaugural event, the festival aims to further establish Bangladesh as a hub of creative energy, cultural diplomacy, and sustainable tourism.

By blending global electronic sounds with Bangladeshi cultural traditions, Burning Crab aims to boost tourism, showcase local talent, and elevate the country’s profile as a premier destination for world-class cultural experiences.

Featuring artists from over 15 countries, the festival will attract a diverse international audience and strengthen Bangladesh’s soft power and creative economy.

At its core, Burning Crab celebrates the blending of cultures across borders, generations, and art forms. Inspired by metamodern philosophy, this experience combines ancestral wisdom with innovation, offering a fusion of electronic music, traditional Baul performances, heritage arts, wellness, culinary experiences, visual installations, and eco-friendly design.

Set on the world’s longest natural beach, the festival embraces Mermaid Eco Tourism’s principles of sustainability, circular economy, and cultural empowerment.

“This isn’t just a gathering on the beach — it’s a platform for Bangladesh to tell a new story to the world,” said the organizers.

“An experience where the local and global, the sincere and spectacular, unite on one timeless shore,” they added.

Building on its success, Burning Crab 2026 will expand its reach, welcoming more global participants, deeper collaborations, and richer experiences.

As the waves crash and music pulses beneath the stars, Burning Crab Festival 2026 invites creatives and travelers worldwide to join Bangladesh’s cultural reawakening, where the Bay of Bengal meets the beat of the future.
