A classroom session of the “Functional Literacy and Practical Skills Training Course” under the Bureau of Non-Formal Education, implemented by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, has been successfully completed at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Cox’s Bazar.
Participants from various professions actively participated in the session held on Monday (April 20). The training focused on improving basic literacy, developing life skills, and providing practical knowledge applicable to real-life situations.
The session was conducted by Assistant Director (acting) Gulshan Akhter. The chief guest was Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Md. Shahidul Alam, who said such training programs play an important role in improving living standards and building a self-reliant society.
Speakers, including Abu Farhan, director of the Cox’s Bazar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, also attended the event. They emphasized that the combination of education and skills is the key driving force of sustainable development.
Organizers said such initiatives will continue to develop marginalized communities into skilled human resources.
