Cox’s Bazar, the tourism capital of Bangladesh, is set to host a unique running event—Cox’s Bazar Run 2025—where runners will race along the golden sands of the world’s longest sea beach. Scheduled for April 19, 2025 (Saturday), this event promises an exhilarating experience for running enthusiasts while promoting environmental awareness under the theme “Run Together for a Greener Beach.”

Participants can compete in two race categories: 7.5 and 21 kilometers, covering routes that pass through scenic coastal stretches and the heart of Cox’s Bazar. The registration process is already underway, with limited slots available.

Interested runners can register online at coxsbazarmarathon.com/registration to secure their spot. Race slots are 7.5 km for 350 participants with a cutoff time of 75 minutes and 21 km for 250 participants with a cutoff time of 3 hours and 40 minutes. 

The registration fees are Tk999 and Tk1,299 for 7.5 km and 21 km, respectively. 

The event will use chip timing technology to ensure accurate race results based on gun time.

The participants will receive a t-shirt, hydration support, medical assistance, breakfast, a finisher’s medal, and e-certificates. 

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category, like 7.5 km (men and women) champion, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up, 21 km (men and women) champion, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up, and veteran category (50+ years) champion, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up.

Regarding the run, a Kit Expo will be held on April 18, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Laboni Point Beach, Cox’s Bazar. Registered participants can collect their race kits during this event.

The Cox’s Bazar Runners Community will organize the event, supported by the Cox’s Bazar District Administration and Police.

With its breathtaking ocean views and vibrant running culture, Cox’s Bazar Run 2025 is set to be an unforgettable experience. Beyond the thrill of competition, the event aims to raise awareness about protecting and preserving the pristine beauty of Bangladesh’s most famous beach.
