For the first time in the history of Bangladesh Scouts’ Cox’s Bazar District Rover, eight Rover Scouts have set out on a 150km expedition on foot.

The five-day journey began on Saturday (September 14) from the Cox’s Bazar Deputy Commissioner’s Office and will conclude on September 18 at the Chattogram DC office.

The team includes three Rover Scouts and two Girl-in-Rover Scouts from Cox’s Bazar Government College Rover Scout Group — Rover Mate Mohammad Ehshan, Rover Mate Rakib Uddin Babu, and Assistant Rover Mate Safayet Karim Anik, along with Girl-in-Rovers Fayjun Nesha Masiat and Asmaul Husna.

From Cox’s Bazar City College Rover Scout Group, Durjoy Rudra and Aditya Bodua are participating, as well as Sifatun Nesha from Ramya Mukta Girl-in-Rover Scout Group.

Shabina Chowdhury Priya, Girl-in-Rover Scout Leader from CRCD Mukta Rover Scout Group, is accompanying them as an inspector.

“We are undertaking this journey as part of our program to achieve the President’s Rover Scout Award,” said Rakib Uddin Babu. “We will cover 150km in five days — 30km on day one, 25km on day two, 38km on day three, 39km on day four, and 22km on the final day.”

Their campaign carries messages of cleanliness, tree plantation, and road safety awareness.
