Anarkoli, Anarfal, Anargula or Passion Fruit, commonly found in Cox’s Bazar and the surrounding hilly areas. This fruit is particularly popular among tourists.
However, the fruit was recently spotted at a house in the Jhilongja Union of Cox’s Bazar, where an anarfal plant was spotted growing on the rooftop. The plant was bearing fruit, and it looked quite appealing.
This popular fruit is known for its sour taste and is often enjoyed with a mix of salt, pepper, and sugar. Its unique flavor has become a favorite among tourists.
The peak season for Anarfal is during the rainy season, making it available at a lower price. Currently, a piece of Anarfal costs between Tk40-Tk60, but during the off-season, the price can go up to Tk200.
