Rows of jackfruit trees along the scenic Marine Drive in Cox’s Bazar are now laden with green, unripe fruits, drawing attention from locals and passersby alike.

Despite the intense heat of the late dry season, the lush greenery and clusters of jackfruits have brought a sense of calm and seasonal charm to the area. Visitors frequently pause along the roadside to admire the trees and soak in the natural beauty.

On-the-ground observations indicate that many trees along different stretches of Marine Drive are bearing large jackfruits. While some have grown significantly in size, locals say it will take a few more weeks for them to fully ripen.

A local youth, Arif, said that fruit-bearing trees become a common sight in the area during the summer months. He noted that the jackfruits grown here are known for their sweetness and taste, although they are not yet ready for harvest.

Residents say that while temperatures continue to rise throughout the season, this is also when nature offers an abundance of fruit. Once ripened, these jackfruits are expected to become an added attraction not only for locals but also for tourists visiting the coastal road.

With seasonal fruits and vibrant greenery on display, Marine Drive is now presenting a refreshing and distinctive landscape, captivating visitors amid the summer heat.
