On Friday night, light showers fell across various parts of Cox’s Bazar, bringing a welcome respite to both locals and tourists. The city had been enduring relentless heat for days, causing discomfort among its residents. However, this brief rainfall helped reduce the temperature on Saturday.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius — slightly lower than the preceding days. The humidity level stood at 65 percent during this period.

Locals expressed that the gentle rain eased the fatigue caused by the intense heat. Tourists also welcomed this pleasant weather as ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities.

The Meteorological Department forecasts that light rains may continue for the next one or two days, which could further help lower the temperature and provide ongoing relief.
