Cox’s Bazar experienced a spell of much-awaited rain on Friday afternoon, bringing relief to residents and tourists alike after several days of intense heat and humidity.
Dark clouds began to gather over the city around noon, followed by light drizzles that soon turned into moderate to heavy rain, drenching the city’s main roads and beachfront areas.
Locals said the scorching weather over the past few days had made life uncomfortable, and today’s rain felt like a soothing touch. Tourists visiting the beach also welcomed the downpour, enjoying the rare charm of a rain-soaked shoreline.
According to the weather office, light to moderate rainfall is likely to continue over Cox’s Bazar and other coastal regions in the coming days.
