In rural areas, children have always enjoyed their free time after school by playing traditional outdoor games like Kanamachi, Guti Khela, Ekka-Dokka, Morog Lorai, Danguli, Icing-Bicing, Kabaddi, and flying kites, often with little to no equipment.
However, in today’s scenario, these games have significantly diminished compared to the past.
Recently, at Ukhiya Sonar Para Primary School, during the break, students were seen actively engaging in various games on the school grounds.
Moreover, as soon as the bell rings signaling the end of school, the children eagerly immerse themselves in joyful activities.
It is reported that the children of this school spend their time playing games, interacting with friends, and engaging in various creative activities.
This helps them break free from the monotony of their daily routines, bringing them renewed energy and joy.
In particular, engaging in physical activities supports children’s social skills, physical health, and mental development. It is believed by many that encouraging children to engage in physical activities after school hours is essential for their growth and well-being.
