Bayezid Bostami Roni lay back on the warm sands of Sonar Para Beach, singing softly to himself, his soulful voice blending with the sound of the waves. Drawn by his remarkable vocals, several tourists gathered around him, some capturing the moment on their phones as he sang. Roni shared that music is his true passion, a love that first sparked when he listened to the songs of the legendary Bangladeshi band artist Ayub Bachchu. Determined to pursue music, he enrolled at the Nazrul Institute, where he began his formal music training. His dream came true when he eventually had the opportunity to perform on the same stage as Ayub Bachchu. While music is his calling, Roni is also a dedicated school principal, serving children with special needs at Proyash School, located in the Ramu Cantonment area of Cox’s Bazar.
