Local fishers at Sonar Para Sea Beach returned with a fresh catch of Chamila fish as improving weather conditions allowed them to resume fishing after several days of heavy rain. According to the fishers, Chamila is currently selling for around Tk 5,400 per maund in the local market. With the sea gradually becoming calmer, fishing boats are once again heading out each day, bringing renewed optimism to the coastal fishing community.
